Job description

START YOUR CAREER WHILE SAVING LIVES

Our Blood Institute is actively seeking qualified candidates for a rewarding position responsible for manufacturing blood and blood components.

Considered applicants must have a high school diploma, transcript, or GED. A successful candidate must be punctual, reliable, a good communicator, detail-oriented, and able to work well with others. This position requires reliable transportation, a working telephone, standing for long periods, and the ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 based on education and/or experience; additional pay if fluent in Spanish; PAID on-the-job training; $500 bonus after 6 months and $1,000 bonus after 1 year!

Days: Tuesday through Saturday (Temporary to Permanent with 40 hours a week)

Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Position: Manufacturing blood and blood components

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Good communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work well with people
  • Computer skills
  • Moderate lifting ability

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture blood and blood components
  • Prepare blood and blood components for labeling
  • Label blood and blood components
  • Triage whole blood according to inventory needs
  • Manufacture apheresis red blood cells
  • Perform maintenance of equipment as appropriate
  • Maintain cleanliness of the manufacturing lab
  • Handle BPS and Reference Lab orders
  • Follow SOPs as appropriate
