Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, Indiana, seeks an Engineering Project Team Leader to oversee the Large Power Systems Division G3600 Platform group.

You will own system-level design control for engines, components, software, and performance, spanning NPI, product improvements, and manufacturing support. You will lead factory end-of-line test efficiency projects, improve FCA/FTA metrics, and partner with factory teams to address BIQ/AQE issues while providing cross-functional technical leadership

Qualifications

• Must have strong analytical thinking to identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
• Proficiency in technical areas and applying engineering principles to problems.
• Experience with CAD/engineering tools for design, analysis, and testing.
• Understanding of manufacturing product design processes and development from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3600 factory end-of-line test efficiency projects.
• Improve FCA and FTA performance metrics.
• Collaborate with factory personnel to resolve BIQ/AQE issues.
• Provide technical leadership across manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain dashboards tracking active quality issues, corrective actions, resolution status and KPIs.
