Job summary

Komline is seeking a Buyer II to manage procurement activities, vendor relations, and materials planning for its manufacturing operations in the Rockford, IL area. You will source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies, collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams on launches, and track procurement KPIs, lead times, and cost savings.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, strong computer skills, and proficiency with ERP and inventory management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field.
• Proficiency with ERP and inventory management applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients, and suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies in alignment with production needs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams on product launches and supplier development.
• Track and report procurement KPIs, lead times, cost savings, and vendor compliance.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, RFQs, and contracts.
• Record PO acknowledgments and update PO discrepancies.
• Expedite procurement activities to meet demand and purchasing strategies.
• Develop an effective system for monitoring purchase orders.
• Coordinate deliveries and rectify backorders or missing products.
• Assist buyers with maintaining inventory levels and materials.
• Communicate with management to ensure order accuracy.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of supplied products; manage returns/replacements.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve timeliness and quality issues.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and internal/external customers.
• Research and resolve accounts payable nonconformance with suppliers.
