Job summary

CableMaster, a GCG Company, is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our New Berlin procurement team. Based onsite, you will source raw materials, components, and services for cable assembly manufacturing, manage POs, and partner with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and cost competitiveness.

You will work with production, engineering and quality teams to support schedules, monitor supplier performance, and drive process improvements across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supplier management.
• Proficient in Excel and business applications.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from requisition through receipt, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and alignment with manufacturing requirements.
• Purchase raw materials, components, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies, and services while balancing cost, quality, and lead time.
• Monitor open purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers on delivery commitments, and address delays that could disrupt production.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and transactional data within ERP and procurement systems.
