Job summary

Aston Carter seeks a Manufacturing Buyer for a 12-month contract in Redmond, WA. The role focuses on processing requisitions to meet quality, service, delivery, and cost objectives in line with sourcing strategies.

You will manage RFQs, supplier relationships, purchase orders, and data tracking while collaborating with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies. The shift is Mon–Thu, 10-hour days from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Fridays off, onsite parking available.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchase order management, supply chain, and inventory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookup and pivot tables.
• Experience with buying, purchasing, procurement, and logistics.
• Strong data entry skills and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Process requisitions in a timely manner, ensuring best quality, service, delivery, and cost.
• Maintain supplier relationships, improving lead time, cost, and quality.
• Compile, record, and track vendor information, supplier performance metrics, purchasing activities, and pricing data.
• Create and maintain accurate purchase orders, defining inbound quantities and due dates from suppliers.
• Stay informed on current market conditions and their impact on cost, lead time, and supply availability.
• Maintain item and supplier information in the system.
• Process RFQs (Requests for Quotation).
• Expedite parts as needed and provide updates on backorders.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and department policies in all activities.
