Job summary

GHJ is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a manufacturing and distribution client. You will manage core accounting activities across AP, AR, and the general ledger, supporting month-end close and reporting.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on bookkeeping experience in a manufacturing environment, strong Excel skills, and comfort partnering with leadership on process improvements in a fast-paced, privately held company.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Solid general ledger knowledge with experience in AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Manufacturing and/or distribution industry experience required.
• Small to mid-sized, privately held company experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Excel; ERP experience is a plus.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, and general ledger activity
• Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close
• Prepare financial reports and assist with financial and operational analysis
• Maintain accurate accounting records and resolve discrepancies
• Partner with leadership on special projects and process improvements
• Help strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls
• Support additional accounting and operational needs as the business evolves
