Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Specialist for the West Point site. You will support connected instruments, qualify and test integrations with MES, and help ensure compliant production of vaccines.

The role requires knowledge of DeltaV DCS, AB PLC, SCADA/HMI, and regulatory CSV/GxP. Hybrid work flow is available, with strong collaboration across manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field with 2 years in automation/validation.
• Associate’s degree plus 3 years in automation/validation.
• High school diploma plus 6 years in automation/validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and close out change controls for corrective actions and improvements.
• Interface with manufacturing, quality, and engineering groups to resolve technical issues.
• Stay current with automation trends and recommend new technologies.
• Lead investigations of incidents to prevent recurrence and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, CSV, and SDLC in daily activities.
• Collaborate across teams to support manufacturing automation.
