Job summary

Elanco is seeking an Automation Engineer, Manufacturing, to join the Process Engineering Team at the Elwood Manufacturing Facility. You will provide technical support for manufacturing process controls systems and oversee SCADA/OT networking integration for data retrieval and equipment management.

You will troubleshoot automation failures, collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering, and implement changes within a GxP environment using PLC and HMI programming tools.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or AS with Industrial Controls certificate.
• 3+ years of automation experience.
• Experience with industrial electrical controls (VFDs, PLCs, HMIs).
• Experience in regulated, GxP environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations and Maintenance by troubleshooting and improving automation systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering and IT to enhance the SCADA/OT network and equipment performance.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to investigate process failures.
• Operate within Change Control and Computer System Validation requirements using PLC/HMI programming.
