Job summary
Moog Inc., Space & Defense - Power & Data group, seeks a Manufacturing Automation Engineer in Highland Heights, OH. The role transforms manual production into automated, scalable processes using robotics, software, and Moog AI client, supporting four floors and collaborating with Design, Software, and IT teams.
The position is full-time, onsite at Highland Heights, reports to Operations Manager, and relocation assistance is available. Eligibility for U.S. security clearance is required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing automation.
- Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Proven experience in industrial automation, equipment specification, and manufacturing project delivery.
- Knowledge of control systems (PLC, HMI, robotics) and integration with IT systems.
- Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Examine and automate production processes and determine automation opportunities.
- Perform time studies and PFMEAs to baseline performance.
- Create technical specifications, integration methods, and safety features.
- Onboard, integrate, program, and verify new equipment into production.
- Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning.
- Coordinate with IT, EH&S, Facilities, and other teams.
