Job summary

Closets by Design Maryland is seeking an enthusiastic Manufacturing Assistant to join our growing team. The role involves operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, understanding product lines, and following installation techniques.

You will maintain shop equipment, follow quality and safety standards, understand cut lists for daily jobs, and take on tasks defined by the Production Manager. Training and development opportunities are available as you advance within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making preferred (32mm systems).
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus.
• Some prior woodworking experience is preferred but not required.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Manufacturing Assistant to join our growing team. The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.

Job Requirements

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems)
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Some prior Woodworking experience is preferred but not required.
