Job summary

PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, Mississippi offers a Manufacturing Engineering/Assembly Intern position for Spring 2027. The role is for students currently enrolled in an Engineering program who have completed their sophomore year, and expects strong technical, verbal, and presentation skills.

You will support continuous improvement efforts, line balance optimization, and ergonomic projects while working a flexible schedule including day and evening shifts, toward a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering program and have completed their Sophomore year.
• Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills.
• Proven problem solving skills are required.
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred.
• Must be flexible to work portions of day and evening shift.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
• Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in continuous improvement efforts focusing on line balance optimization.
