Job summary

AISIN World Corp. of America in Durham, NC is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design electrical and control systems for new equipment and overhaul existing machinery. This role develops wiring diagrams, BOMs, and manuals, and ensures integration of automation to reduce labor costs.

You will lead installation, testing, and commissioning, collaborate with electrical technicians and vendors, and ensure safety standards and project schedules are met.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum of relevant work experience.
• Experience with electrical distribution and control up to 480 VAC, 3PH.
• Ability to read electrical prints and wire control panels.
• Familiar with NFPA 70E safety practices.
• Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and controls issues in circuits containing transformers, disconnects, over-current protection devices, and general control components.
• Execute electrical and control upgrades to equipment.
• Lead installation, setup and testing of equipment within the production line.
• Prepare wiring drawings, BOMs, and machine manuals to support modifications.
• Work with outside vendors on equipment improvement projects and supervise installation, startup, testing, and debugging.
