Qualifications

• Ability to work in small groups and stay organized.
• Candidates should be detail-oriented and able to read and follow written SOPs.
• Proven mathematical skills and basic computer operations (MS Office/Outlook).
• Experience in biotechnology/pharma industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine unit operations in Manufacturing Assembly and Packaging.
• Follow SOPs and manufacturing procedures.
• Assist with setup of automated autoinjector and syringe assembly machines.
• Support changeovers and minor repairs of equipment.
• Document all work in batch records and logbooks.
• Assist with room cleaning, sanitization, and waste disposal.
• Ensure components and supplies are stocked before start of operations.
• Maintain production areas according to 5S standards.
• Adhere to safety standards and escalate unsafe conditions.

Job Description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly and Packaging Associate - 3rd Shift for a contract position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Fremont, CA. This is a contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for executing routine unit operations in Manufacturing Assembly and Packaging related to the manufacturing of drug product in a multi-product, GMP-regulated facility. The position involves performing duties under limited supervision, including assisting with equipment setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting for automated and semi-automated assembly machines. This is a 3rd shift position (Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) with a 15% shift differential. The first month of training will occur on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities:

• Execute routine unit operations in Manufacturing Assembly and Packaging
• Perform duties according to standard operating and manufacturing procedures
• Assist in the setup of automated autoinjector assembly machines, pre-filled syringe assembly machines, and semi-automated tabletop machines
• Retrieve components and equipment from storage and assist with equipment changeovers and minor repairs
• Document all work in controlled documents such as batch records and logbooks in accordance with SOPs
• Assist with room cleaning, sanitization, and disposal of waste
• Ensure components, materials, and supplies are stocked prior to the start of operations
• Maintain production areas according to predefined standards (5s)
• Adhere to safety standards and elevate any unsafe situations

Requirements:

• High School degree plus a minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a GMP regulated industry
• Demonstrated ability to be organized and work well in small work groups
• Demonstrated mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversions
• Detail-oriented with the ability to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to learn and perform basic computer operations such as MS Office and Outlook
• Requires physical activity such as almost constant standing and walking

Desired skills:

• Associate/Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or biotechnology vocational training
• Experience in a related GMP environment within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred

Pay range: up to $26.07 per hour
