Job summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Associate for an onsite 6+ month contract in Thousand Oaks, CA. This role provides daily QA oversight of Drug Substance manufacturing in a GMP environment and requires hands-on pharma/biotech experience.

The ideal candidate has familiarity with manufacturing and quality operations, cell culture knowledge, and a strong ability to follow SOPs and maintain documentation. 100% onsite with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of hands-on experience in a regulated GMP environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, or food industries).
• Familiarity with manufacturing or quality operations.
• Knowledge of Cell Culture and Purification.
• Demonstrated ability to perform GMP operations, including following SOPs, maintaining training, and good documentation practices.
• Self-driven with strong teamwork ethic and communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or a related science field.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight of Manufacturing and Facilities & Engineering areas.
• Perform electronic batch record review, SOP revision & approval, work order approval, and quality approval of minor deviations.
• Evaluate compliance issues, provide recommendations, and ensure progress of quality records to completion.
• Support GMP operations for manufacturing, providing quality oversight for GDP and GMP.
• Perform GMP record reviews and releases.

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Associate for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role supports the Quality Assurance program, providing daily oversight of Drug Substance manufacturing areas in a regulated GMP environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries, be familiar with manufacturing and quality operations, and work cross-functionally to ensure compliance. This position is 100% onsite with rotating shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily support and compliance oversight to Manufacturing and Facilities & Engineering areas
• Conduct purposeful presence on the floor, perform electronic batch record review, SOP revision & approval, work order approval, and quality approval of minor deviations
• Evaluate compliance issues, provide recommendations, and ensure progress of quality records to completion
• Support GMP operations for manufacturing, providing quality oversight for GDP and GMP
• Perform a variety of GMP record reviews and releases

Requirements:

• High school/GED with 2+ years of work experience OR an Associate’s degree with 6+ months of work experience OR a Bachelor’s degree
• 1–2+ years of hands‑on experience in a regulated GMP environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, or food industries)
• Familiarity with manufacturing or quality operations
• Knowledge of Cell Culture and Purification
• Demonstrated ability to perform GMP operations, including following detailed SOPs, maintaining training, and good documentation practices
• Self-driven with strong teamwork ethic and communication skills

Desired skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or a related science field
• Experience working with Quality Systems
• Experience managing projects through to completion and meeting timelines
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Pay range:

up to $34.02 per hour
