LINAK U.S., Inc. in Louisville, KY is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler I for the first shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm). You will read instructions, assemble products or sub-assemblies, and use a range of hand and power tools to build components to meet customer expectations.

The role emphasizes safety, lean manufacturing practices, and cross-training across areas. Candidates with a high school diploma and at least six months of assembly experience are preferred; Lean/6S experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of assembly experience preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing / 6S experience preferred.
• Ability to perform job rotations / cross training and meet physical demands of all line jobs.
• First Shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Read instructions and assemble products or sub-assemblies.
• Use a wide range of Hand Tools.

• Follow safety procedures and company rules while assembling.
• Produce according to schedule using standard procedures in the assigned area.
• Provide supplemental training to new associates.

Assembling and training others to assemble products that meet or exceed our customer expectations in a safe and effective manner.

General Responsibilities:

• Read instructions and assemble products or sub-assemblies
• Use a wide range of Hand Tools
• Use a wide range of Power Tools
• Follows and promotes all safety procedures, environmental guidelines and company rules and regulations while assembling All other duties as assigned
• Produce according to schedule using standard procedures in safe and effective manner in an assigned work area.
• Provides supplemental training with new associates
• Participates in C-4, Quality Champion and other Continuous Improvement events
• Cross trained in multiple areas
• Team involvement and interaction to improve equipment functionality, efficiencies, and problem solving.
• Offers additional assistance when possible

Requirements:

• A High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 months of Assembly experience is preferred.
• The individual must display a high level of enthusiasm and individual efficiency.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / 6S experience is preferred.
• Lean Train-the-Trainer preferred.
• High efficiency, productivity, and flexibility are necessary.
• Must be able to perform job rotations / cross training and perform physical demands of all jobs on the line.
• First Shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
