Job summary

Kimball International is seeking an Area Manager to provide daily leadership and guidance to the team to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals. The role includes coordinating production activities, coaching staff, and ensuring tools and training are in place to meet standards.

The position requires leading multiple teams, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining a focus on quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee one or more Team Leaders and coordinate production activities.
• Ensure tools, supplies, and equipment are available for tasks.
• Provide training to department personnel on processes.
• Coach on quality, daily tasks, performance, and housekeeping.
• Review work for quality, tolerances, and material specs.
• Communicate performance goals to staff.
• Complete timesheets for hourly employees.
• Support Quality and Safety policies and Kimball guiding principles.
• Lead CI activities to improve KPI performance.
• Hold weekly meetings to track progress on CI targets.
