Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr

Edged has an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sustainability and eager to be part of an innovative company that’s on a journey to transform the world’s data center infrastructure. We are seeking a Manufacturing and Procurement Manager to work directly with the Edged Energy Team and focus on leading the establishment of new manufacturing facilities, develop strategic partnerships, and manage procurement processes to ensure the efficient production of our products.

The Manufacturing and Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the setup of new manufacturing facilities, identifying and collaborating with strategic partners, and managing procurement activities. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills and a proven track record in establishing and optimizing manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the planning, setup, and operationalization of new manufacturing facilities.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to optimize production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with key suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturing processes meet product specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing and procurement activities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in manufacturing and procurement.

Skills & Requirements

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
  • Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, procurement, or supply chain management.

Specific Skills / Abilities

  • Experience in the power generation and distribution sector.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven experience in setting up and managing manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant software tools.
