Join the dynamic team at Pace Industries, as the Director of Purchasing and Sourcing. We are seeking an innovative and collaborative leader to oversee the procurement and sourcing processes to ensure consistent and best-in-class practices supporting supplier negotiations and analysis of the company’s purchasing function for all Pace locations. This position can work anywhere in the United States and will report directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing Services. Principal Duties and Responsibilities include reducing total cost for the company in managed categories while improving the overall quality of products and services procured; developing and managing supplier base with input from internal stakeholders; working across the business to ensure internal needs are met; overseeing RFI, RFP, contract development and other purchasing-related processes to enhance performance and sustain results; monitoring supply market and identifying opportunities to increase purchasing effectiveness; developing and leading purchasing strategies across Pace; crafting negotiation strategies to close deals with optimal terms; establishing and implementing purchasing policies, procedures and best practices; designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring inventory and purchasing reporting systems to meet organizational requirements; developing and demonstrating strong market analytics and providing materials forecasting to the business divisions; collaborating with other departments and leadership as needed to identify and develop requirements for equipment, materials, products and acceptable substitutions; demonstrating sound business decision-making, aligned with company values and ethics; developing dashboard metrics for procurement and managing performance to the metrics. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field), 8+ years progressively responsible experience including demand planning, purchasing, production planning, contract management, mathematics, and/or statistical forecast modeling, 5+ years of experience in a leadership position within a manufacturing setting, strong teamwork skills, effective communication and presentation skills, problem-solving abilities, and skills in verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service, leadership, collaboration, negotiation, analytical and problem solving, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of manufacturing processes, ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands in a deadline driven environment, and ability to travel up to 25% annually.
