Job summary

Divergent is seeking a mid-level Operations Analyst specializing in manufacturing analytics to turn production data into actionable insights. You will apply statistics and ML to predict time and costs, unifying shop-floor data into a cohesive model that supports pricing, simulation, and scaling.

You will partner with the Data team to operationalize data, work across projects, and drive data-driven improvements with the manufacturing and automation teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, CS, Operations Research, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated experience in operations analytics, analytics engineering, data science, or data-intensive manufacturing roles.
• Hands-on experience with production data and shop floor execution in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and SQL with data modeling experience.
• Experience delivering data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate statistical and ML models for time and cost prediction.
• Unify MES, ERP/BOM, staffing, and engineering data into a cohesive data model.
• Define source mappings, metrics, and data quality rules; collaborate with Data/AI/Software teams.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement data-driven improvements with shop floor teams.
• Lead cross-functional projects from discovery to ROI justification and implementation.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses supporting pricing, capacity, staffing, and investments.
• Communicate data models and assumptions clearly to stakeholders.
