Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Salt Lake City seeks a Principal Manufacturing Analyst to join a high-impact analytics team supporting production, planning, and quality improvements. You will partner with supply, materials, repairs, and engineering to drive data-driven change across multiple factories and deliver actionable insights.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing analytics, strong SQL skills, experience with Power BI/Tableau, and the ability to present to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in analyzing the aspects related to manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or operations.
• Demonstrated experience using SQL to query, join, and analyze data from relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Excel and data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Experience presenting to management.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Performs activities in cross-functional areas including production planning, quality, systems, and process re-engineering.
• May facilitate self-directed work teams, train peers, and interact with internal and external customers regarding product planning and problem resolution.
