Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience using SQL to query, join, and analyze data from relational databases (e.g., SQLServer, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with Excel and data visualization/reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Experience presenting to management.
  • US Citizenship required.

Join a high-impact analytics team that supports the entire SLC site—partnering with supply, production, materials, repairs, and engineering across multiple factories—to uncover issues, drive continuous process improvements, and deliver data-driven change that keeps our operations running at their best.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process re-engineering.
  • The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate must have an understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution, etc.), excellent listening, interpersonal, written, oral communication skills, and analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience in analyzing the aspects related to manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or operations.
  • Demonstrated experience using SQL to query, join, and analyze data from relational databases (e.g., SQLServer, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with Excel and data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Experience presenting to management.
  • US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including writing complex queries, aggregations, and performance‑conscious joins.
  • Experience building reusable views, stored queries, or reports that support manufacturing metrics (WIP, throughput, cycle time, on‑time delivery, etc.).
  • Experience integrating SQL-based data sets into reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.).
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, OracleEBS, or similar) and understanding of how manufacturing data is structured.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, NorthropGrumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, NorthropGrumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
