Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer focused on manufacturing to design, build, and deploy advanced AI/ML systems for production. You will work with plant engineers, robotics teams, and IT to digitize manufacturing, using domain-specific LoRA, multi-modal models, and enterprise-grade infrastructure.

This role emphasizes hands-on execution and scalable solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and innovation across global facilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing AI/ML applications.
• Experience building an AI application from scratch on a cloud platform.
• 3+ years of Python programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement domain-specific LoRA fine-tuning for manufacturing AI.
• Develop multi-modal AI systems combining vision, controls, robotics, and telemetry.
• Build production-grade ML infrastructure for training, fine-tuning, deployment, and monitoring.
• Architect full-stack AI apps using React/TypeScript frontend and FastAPI backend.
• Deploy and orchestrate AI services with Kubernetes and service mesh for scalable operations.
• Establish MLOps practices including CI/CD, model versioning, A/B testing, and monitoring.
