Job summary

Horsburgh & Scott is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Accounting Professional to support daily financial activities for our Roscoe, IL manufacturing operations. This on-site role covers AP, AR, payroll, customer invoicing, and job costing across manufacturing processes.

You will work with Operations, Purchasing, Production, and Finance to maintain accurate records and drive efficient business operations in a custom manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, industrial, or job shop environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Customer Invoicing.
• Experience working with purchase orders, work orders, and manufacturing-related financial transactions.
• Familiarity with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable accurately and timely with PO matching.
• Manage Accounts Receivable, aging, and collections processes.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices and ensure billing accuracy.
• Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping reconciliations.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and journal entries.
• Track job costs and manufacturing overhead for cost centers.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Finance to ensure accurate records.
• Support monthly, quarterly, year-end closings and audits.
