Connexion Systems & Engineering Inc. in Cranston, RI is seeking an Accounting Manager (Manufacturing) to lead the close process and oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and manufacturing accounting.

The role requires 5–8 years of accounting experience with manufacturing focus and at least 2 years in leadership, plus ERP experience and advanced Excel. This is an on-site, direct-hire opportunity with a strong focus on process improvement and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5–8 years progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Manage General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and general ledger activity.
• Oversee inventory accounting, fixed assets, and manufacturing accounting.
• Monitor cash flow, collections, vendor payments, and working capital.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
• Drive ERP system enhancements and process improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special finance initiatives.
• Record and reconcile payroll journal entries.
• Manage census reporting requirements.
