Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Accounting Manager for a growing manufacturing company in Fort Wayne, IN. This on-site, permanent role oversees daily accounting operations, maintains accurate records, and improves processes as the business expands.

The position requires 3+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP and Excel proficiency, and a Bachelor's degree. Leadership duties include supervising staff and guiding month-end close, with opportunities for advancement toward a Controller

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or operational environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Ownership of month-end close.
• Account reconciliations experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and cash management.
• Maintain financial controls and identify opportunities to improve processes and automation.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and project-related capitalization.
• Provide timely financial reporting and analysis to senior leadership.
• Support audits, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and external reporting.
• Assist with grant reporting, insurance matters, benefits administration, and other operational needs.
• Supervise accounting staff while remaining actively involved in daily execution.
