Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager for an established manufacturing organization in West Warwick, RI. This fully onsite, direct-hire role manages month-end close, GL, AR, AP, and accounting operations while partnering with operations to enhance performance.

The ideal candidate will lead and develop the accounting team, drive process improvements, and support audits and regulatory compliance in a high-impact environment. Prior manufacturing and ERP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience with strong knowledge of financial reporting, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and month-end close.
• Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, and developing accounting professionals.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes while ensuring accurate General Ledger activity, reconciliations, financial analyses, and financial statements.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and manufacturing accounting functions.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Monitor cash collections, vendor payments, working capital performance, payroll-related accounting, Concur T&E activity, and Census filings.
• Support external audits, tax filings, regulatory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and special finance projects.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies while driving process improvements and ERP system enhancements.
