Job summary

Interstates is seeking an Manufactured Solutions Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team supporting manufacturing operations. You will coordinate with leaders to turn financial data into actionable insights, influencing operational decisions and improving processes.

Responsibilities include month-end close, product-level reporting, forecasting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across locations. Hybrid work may be considered for the right candidate near Interstates offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.
• 5-7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading and developing accounting teams.
• Strong financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management skills.
• Experience with inventory, product costing, margin analysis, and financial performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team supporting Manufacturing, establishing consistent processes and standards across teams and locations.
• Own the month-end close process for manufacturing, including review of financial results, key schedules, and supporting analysis.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining the integrity of financial data and systems.
• Provide meaningful analysis of manufacturing performance, including KPIs, inventory, overhead, and other key business drivers.
• Lead product-level financial reporting, including margin analysis, cost tracking, and variance explanations.
• Lead cash flow management through forecasting, timely billing, collections, payables, and coaching teams on cash-impacting decisions.
• Lead forecasting and financial planning processes for manufacturing operations, providing accurate and timely visibility to leadership.
• Partner with operations leaders on inventory management strategies that balance production needs, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
• Support audits, internal controls, compliance requirements, and related reporting.
• Partner with other accounting leaders to promote consistent standards across the Accounting Home Base.
