Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an Accounting and Finance Co-Op to gain practical knowledge in a manufacturing environment. You will support the team with month-end close, journal entries, and GL maintenance, while learning ERP systems and cost development.

The role emphasizes analytical skills, teamwork, and the ability to work independently. A current bachelor's degree pursuit in accounting or finance is required, with Excel proficiency and familiarity with GAAP.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field.
• Prior experience as an Accounting or Finance intern/co-op is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office.
• Basic understanding of GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsabilités

• Assist with month-end closing processes, maintain the general ledger, and generate journal entries.
• Support product cost development, budgeting, forecasting, and activity rating.
• Develop understanding of Financial and ERP systems.
• Assist in managing fixed assets including capitalization, disposals, monthly depreciation, and researching complex accounting treatments.
• Review and improve daily processes to expedite workflow.
• Provide audit support with schedules and procedural documentation.
• Assist with SOX reporting and cost/profitability analysis by item and customer.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
