About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory analysis, and month-end close activities within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, analytical skills, and the ability to partner with operations to drive financial accuracy and business performance.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory activity, and production variances.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
Monitor standard costs and assist with cost updates and product cost analysis.
Prepare financial reports and support management with operational and financial insights.
Review inventory transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
Partner with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to improve processes and controls.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
Assist with external audits and other compliance-related activities.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting, and accounting processes.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software environments.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Experience with standard costing and inventory valuation methods.
CPA or CMA certification, or progress toward certification.
Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting.
Background in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
