Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Specialist to serve as a bridge between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations, ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards.

The role focuses on maintaining the Quality Management System, conducting audits, leading CAPA investigations, and supporting FAT activities to improve process quality and customer satisfaction on complex water treatment systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, QA, or related engineering roles.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience conducting quality inspections and audits in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting or participating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, auditors, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and support high-quality in-house manufactured systems.
• Administer and maintain ISO 9001 QMS and coordinate internal quality audits and external certification audits.
• Lead investigations into nonconformances and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify conformance to drawings, specs, and customer requirements.
• Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and document results and corrective actions.

What Will You Do?

This role serves as a key liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards.

Quality Management System (QMS)

• Maintain and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, and supporting the delivery of high-quality custom water treatment systems manufactured in-house
• Administer and maintain the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures, work instructions, and controlled documentation.
  Coordinate internal quality audits and support external certification audits.
• Lead investigations into nonconformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Manufacturing Quality Assurance

• Perform in-process and final inspections of custom water treatment systems and components.
  Verify product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
• Maintain document control systems and quality records.

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing activities for all systems prior to shipment.

Verify system performance against design specifications and customer requirements.
Document FAT results, identify deficiencies, and track corrective actions through closure.

Recommend process improvements that increase quality, reduce rework, and improve customer satisfaction.

Your Experience Should Be...

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality assurance, quality systems, or related engineering roles.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience conducting quality inspections and audits in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting or participating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
