Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Sedalia, Missouri is seeking a Manual Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment, read drawings and blueprints, and follow specifications and operating instructions.

Qualifications

Basic computer skills and good manual dexterity are required.
Ability to read instructions from manuals, drawings or schematics with precision.
Solid understanding of quality control principles and strong communication skills.
Experience using hand tools and performing physical tasks is expected.
Must be 18 years or older and able to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
Inspect parts for conformity to quality standards and maintain cleanliness.
Read drawings/blueprints and follow measuring procedures with accuracy.
Maintain equipment and participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives as directed.
Work overtime as required and assigned by supervision.
