Stanley Black & Decker is hiring a MIG Welder for 1st shift in Hesston, KS. The role starts at $20.35/hour and involves assembling parts into welding jigs, using grinders, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. You will operate the welding robot, follow blueprints, and adhere to 5S standards to ensure quality.

The ideal candidate has MIG welding experience, reads prints, and holds a technical welding certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assembles parts into a welding jig and tack them per prints or supervisor guidance (approx. 50%).
• Uses grinders, scrapers, and finishing tools to ensure quality products (approx. 10%).
• Keeps work area clean and safe per 5S standards (approx. 10%).
• Attends daily safety meetings (approx. 5%).
• Controls operation of robot, cleaning and inspection (approx. 20%).
• Focuses on safety, quality, and achieving exact objectives.

What You’ll Do

• As a Welder you’ll be part of our Production team located in Hesston, KS.
• As a Welder you’ll get to: Assemble parts into a welding jig and tack them per prints, drawing, or instruction of supervisor. (Approx. 50%)
• Use various hand tools such as grinders, scrapers, or other types of finishing tools to ensure quality product. (Approx. 10%)
• Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. Per 5S, and written standards posted by management. (Approx. 10%)
• Attend, and interact in all safety meetings every day. (Approx. 5%)
• Control operation of Robot, cleaning, and inspection. (Approx. 20%)
• Focus on safety, quality, and achievement of specific/exact objectives.
