ASC Engineered Solutions in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a Manual Machinist/Fabrication on 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will set up and operate manual machining and fabrication equipment to produce quality parts from ferrous and non-ferrous materials, reading blueprints and travelers and inspecting parts for conformance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines and lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints and operation travelers.
• Ability to read and interpret written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, drills, threading equipment, presses and other fabrication tools.
• Perform threading, cutting, sawing, shearing, drilling, grinding, punching and deburring operations.
• Interpret travelers and blueprints to determine tools and methods.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections with precision measuring tools.
• Maintain safe material handling and a clean, organized work area.
• Crosstrain on equipment and report safety hazards.
