Motor Technology, Inc. seeks a 2nd shift Manual Machinist to operate engine lathes, vertical lathes, and mills, reading blueprints, and maintaining tight tolerances with precision measuring tools. This role supports repair and rebuilding projects for industrial equipment and involves welding assistance when needed.

The position requires a high school diploma and 3+ years of setup/operating experience on manual machines. Overtime and on‑call weekend rotation are standard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience setting up and operating manual lathes and mills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial indicators.
• Candidates with welding experience using GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW processes will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and determine critical dimensions for parts.
• Set up and operate engine lathes, vertical lathes, and mills to required specs.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to verify tolerances and surface finishes.
• Assist with welding operations and support repair and assembly of equipment.
