Job summary

United Steel, the largest fabricator and erector of structural steel in New England, is seeking experienced Machine Operators for 2nd shift starting at 3:30pm, Monday-Friday. The ideal candidates will possess 2-3 years of machine operating experience and be able to perform various machine shop operations safely and effectively.

Responsibilities include maintaining work area, performing preventative maintenance, and operating crucial machinery. Competitive wages and excellent benefits, including a 401(k) with company match, are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of machine operating experience highly desired.
• Basic shop math, reading & writing ability in English.
• Ability to interpret shop paperwork and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform typical machine shop operations to support production needs.
• Detect and report potential issues to department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
