Qualifications

Job Description

Provide machining services of oilfield connections. Manufacture and repair of fishing, rental, and casing tools.

Responsibilities

1. Manufacture, modify, or repair jobs, tubular connections, accessories, tools, and equipment as needed.
2. Operate CNC machines to fabricate parts and modify equipment according to API specifications and procedures.
3. Program CNC machines to perform work based on drawings.
4. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote workplace safety as per company’s Safety policy.
5. Provide various other machining services when required.
6. Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. Willing to work shifts.
7. Understand and comply with all safety rules, quality system, and company policies of Weatherford.
8. Perform duties assigned by supervisor.
9. Knowledge of Heidenhain, Mazatrol Fusion640, and/or Fanuc control programming and operation. Ability to program and machine independently. Input correct cutting data of each tool into programs. Good understanding of tooling geometries.
10. Mechanical aptitude with good knowledge in reading engineering drawings and mathematical skills.
11. Extensive ability and knowledge of operating CNC milling, lathe, and turn mill machines. Thorough knowledge of cutting data of latest tooling.
12. Good working knowledge of manufacturing and repairing job work, including API rotary, casing, and tubing threads (preferred for CNC turners).
13. Ability to use and read micrometers and other measuring equipment.
14. Ability to speak and follow instructions in English.
15. Work closely with fellow employees.
16. Knowledge of 5S & Kaizen management principles.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC machining (milling, lathe, turn mill). Experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Mazatrol turn mill machines preferred.
• Technical diploma or 2-year machinist trade certificate in machining field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Extensive ability and knowledge of operating hollow spindle lathe, rotary drill press, and hand tools such as grinders and deburr tools.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and use basic measuring tools.

Travel requirement: Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required.
