Manual Machinist – Spring, TX
LoneStar Fasteners is looking for a qualified individual to join our team for a full‑time Manual Machinist position on the 1st shift. The Manual Machinist will set up and operate manual machines to perform production machining operations as specified by process drawings, work orders, and other documents in order to produce high‑quality components to our customers’ specifications.
Essential Functions
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
- Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Read blueprint or job order for product and job specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, number of parts to be run, tooling instructions or other written specifications.
- Set up machine, observe operation, and inspect first run and sample work pieces to ensure machining conforms to specifications.
- Determine processing specifications such as materials, location of cutting lines, dimensions, tolerances and operational sequences.
- Examine finished work pieces and verify conformance to quality standards.
- Record information such as number of work pieces processed, tested, machine readings and dates and times of product production.
- Accurately complete work order paperwork/documentation.
- Perform routine and preventative machine maintenance and inspections as required.
- Assist other machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the supervisor.
Experience
- 3‑5 years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment, operating manual machines, manual lathes, and manual mills. Drilling and broaching experience preferred.
Skills And Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Associate’s degree preferred.
- Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
- Ability to adjust to changes without compromising quality or performance.
- Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift.
- Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms up to weighing 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and ability to adjust focus.
- Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer.

- Manufacturing environment with multi‑step process production runs on different machines. High‑value, highly customized components and high‑precision manufacturing for critical service applications.
