Job summary

Mid Cal Labor in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Manual Machinist for a busy, local machine shop. This long-term, full-time role involves working with a variety of machines—Lathe, Mill, Drill Press and Grinders—to produce intricate parts with tight dimensions, such as shafts and sleeves. Shifts include day and night, with hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

or 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The company offers excellent benefits and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching.

Qualifications

Manual Machinist experience required.
Ability to read blueprints to determine equipment and material needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience and knowledge utilizing measuring tools.
Ability to set up Manual Lathe, Mill and Grinders.
Valid California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Operate lathe, mill, drill press and grinders to produce parts with tight dimensions.
Work with shafts, sleeves and other intricate components in a busy local machine shop.

Manual Machinist - Machinist needed for busy, local machine shop!

This Machinist will use a variety of machines such as a Lathe, Mill, Drill Press etc. This shop makes parts, shafts and sleeves, bore things out etc. Very intricate work with tight dimensions.

This is a long term, full time position in Bakersfield, CA. Day shift and night shifts are available. Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Company offers excellent benefits along with a 401 k Retirement plan (with a % match)! *Salary can be negotiated depending on experience.
