Job summary

Mid Cal Labor in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Manual Machinist for a busy, local machine shop. This long-term, full-time role involves working with a variety of machines—Lathe, Mill, Drill Press and Grinders—to produce intricate parts with tight dimensions, such as shafts and sleeves. Shifts include day and night, with hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

or 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The company offers excellent benefits and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching.

Qualifications

• Manual Machinist experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints to determine equipment and material needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience and knowledge utilizing measuring tools.
• Ability to set up Manual Lathe, Mill and Grinders.
• Valid California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathe, mill, drill press and grinders to produce parts with tight dimensions.
• Work with shafts, sleeves and other intricate components in a busy local machine shop.
