Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience operating a manual engine lathe
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and verbal instructions
• Recognize, set up, and effectively use general measuring instruments
• Comply with ISO manufacturing procedures
• Perform basic computer operations and mathematical computations
• Move or transfer products with an overhead crane
• Flexibility regarding job assignments
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Responsibilities

• Conducts safe and timely setup of manual lathe equipment.
• Maks machine/tooling adjustments to bring output into specifications.
• Inform supervisor of any condition affecting quality/production.
• Perform routine maintenance and checks on tools/equipment.
• Perform dimensional inspections including 1st Article Inspection.
• Read and interpret machine shop blueprints.
• Change perishable tooling as needed.
• Ensure timely flow of parts through the machine shop.
• Meet cycle time rates for specified parts.
• Train operators to run jobs.
