Job summary

Regal Rexnord Cleveland, home of our Nook Brand, is hiring a Manual Grinder for our 2nd shift. This onsite role requires you to set up and operate manual grinding equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of grinder experience, a 1-year certificate, and strong math skills to read calipers and micrometers and maintain tight tolerances. You will work to ISO 9001 standards and collaborate with teammates daily.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years of grinder experience required.
• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices (calipers, micrometers); understanding feeds and speeds.
• Must be able to set up the grinder.
• Must complete a blueprint reading course.
• Must hold tolerances of +/- .0002.
• Knowledge of Cincinnati manual grinder is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up manual grinder machinery.
• Operate manual grinder machinery per production standards and ISO 9001 guidelines.
• Inspect product for flaws and material defects, including deburring if needed.
• Move completed material to next workstation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Daily verbal and written communication with team and management about schedules and jobs.
• Work independently and as a team member.

Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Regal Rexnord Cleveland, home of our Nook Brand is currently hiring Manual Grinder for our 2nd shift.

Pay range is $26.00-$30.00/hour plus $2 per hour for shift differential for working 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up manual grinder machinery.
• Operate manual grinder machinery upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary.
• Move completed material to next workstation.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Daily verbal communication with employees regarding work schedules and jobs. Written and verbal communication with management as needed.
• Work independently and as a team member.

Education & Experience

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum experience required is 1-3 years.

Specific Skills & Knowledge

• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers. Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
• Must be able to set up the grinder.
• Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.
• Must be able to hold tolerances of +/- .0002.
• Knowledge of a Cincinnati manual grinder a plus.
