Job summary

Regal Rexnord Cleveland, home of our Nook Brand, is hiring for a Manual Grinder on the 2nd shift. This fully onsite role offers a pay range of $26.00-$30.00 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential for second shift.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating manual grinder machinery, inspecting parts to print, deburring as needed, and moving material to the next station while maintaining ISO 9001 standards and a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

  • One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum experience required is 1–3 years.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Ability to read measuring devices (micrometers, calipers).
  • Must be able to set up the grinder and hold tolerances ±0.0002.

Responsibilities

  • Set up manual grinder machinery.
  • Operate grinder per ISO 9001 and production standards.
  • Inspect parts for print accuracy and deburr if needed.
  • Move parts to next workstation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Communicate schedules and job details with team.
  • Coordinate with management as needed.
  • Work independently and as a team.

Work Model

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office. Regal Rexnord Cleveland, home of our Nook Brand is currently hiring Manual Grinder for our 2nd shift. Pay range is $26.00-$30.00/hour plus $2 per hour for shift differential for working 2nd shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set up manual grinder machinery.
  • Operate manual grinder machinery upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
  • Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary.
  • Move completed material to next workstation.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
  • Daily verbal communication with employees regarding work schedules and jobs.
  • Written and verbal communication with management as needed.
  • Work independently and as a team member.
Education & Experience
  • One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum experience required is 1-3 years
Specific Skills & Knowledge
  • Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
  • Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers.
  • Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
  • Must be able to set up the grinder
  • Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.
  • Must be able to hold tolerances of +/- .0002.
  • Knowledge of a Cincinnati manual grinder a plus.
