Job summary

Regal Rexnord Cleveland, home of our Nook Brand, is hiring a Manual Grinder for our 2nd shift. The role is fully onsite with pay ranging from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift.

The candidate will set up and operate manual grinders, inspect parts to print, and move material through the line while maintaining safety and quality standards. Experience 1–3 years and a 1-year certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years experience.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written directions.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
• Read micrometers and calipers; understanding feeds and speeds.
• Must set up the grinder and hold tolerances of ±0.0002.
• Knowledge of Cincinnati manual grinder is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up manual grinder machinery.
• Operate manual grinder machinery to production standards (ISO 9001).
• Inspect product to print; identify flaws and deburring as needed.
• Move completed material to next workstation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Communicate work schedules and job requirements to team and management.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay range is $26.00-$30.00/hour plus $2 per hour for shift differential for working 2nd shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up manual grinder machinery.
• Operate manual grinder machinery upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary.
• Move completed material to next workstation.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Daily verbal communication with employees regarding work schedules and jobs. Written and verbal communication with management as needed.
• Work independently and as a team member.

Education & Experience

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum experience required is 1-3 years

Specific Skills & Knowledge

• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers. Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
• Must be able to set up the grinder
• Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.
• Must be able to hold tolerances of +/- .0002.
• Knowledge of a Cincinnati manual grinder a plus.
