Job summary

Openkrill is seeking Independent Contractors for Project Lupin to assist in improving AI-powered speech recognition. You will listen to audio, transcribe verbatim, timestamp segments, and label speakers across conversations with 2–8 participants.

The role supports a remote, flexible schedule with pay above local minimum wage. Ideal candidates have native-level Mandarin (Simplified) and strong attention to detail, with experience in transcription or linguistics.

Qualifications

• Native-level Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) fluency and familiarity with regional accents.
• Ability to produce verbatim transcripts including stutters and filler words.
• Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is aPlus.

Responsibilities

• Listen to real audio recordings and produce precise, verbatim transcripts.
• Timestamp segments with sub-500ms deviation.
• Label speakers in conversations with 2–8 participants.
• Annotate non-speech events like laughter or background noise.
