Juris Doctor degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering;
Licensed to practice law;
3 years of experience as an IP attorney;
Membership in a state bar association;
Licensed and in good standing to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (limited recognition acceptable);
Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese (traditional and simplified);
Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses in patent-related work;
Knowledge of complex computer and electrical technologies including programming languages, database technologies, computer architectures, image and video processing, electrical metering and smart grid technologies, quantum computing, and bioinformatics
The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $140,000 to $225,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Our compensation program also provides annual incentive bonuses based on work production and may also offer merit bonuses.
