Job summary

Amphenol Corporation seeks a Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to be the technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams. This role emphasizes engineering-first solutions with a commercial focus, aligning with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to translate needs into design wins.

The ideal candidate is a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer who thrives in front of customers, translates complex requirements into business opportunities, and builds long-term

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in FAE/Applications/Design/Tech Sales or similar.
• Strong knowledge of connectors and interconnect systems.
• Experience supporting product design through production.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and communicate complex concepts.
• Experience with Creo or SolidWorks.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; Office 365 proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Partner with Regional Sales Managers to identify and close opportunities.
• Drive design wins by understanding applications and recommending Amphenol solutions.
• Support customers through concept to production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management and Manufacturing.
• Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and design reviews.
• Provide technical guidance on connector products and applications.
• Review customer drawings using CAD tools.
• Travel regularly to customer sites.
