Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead construction, renovation, and capital improvement across our facilities in Sugar Land, TX.

The role may also support facilities maintenance initiatives and budgets for asset life cycles. The candidate will manage scopes, schedules, and vendors, ensure safety and code compliance, and oversee documentation, commissioning, turnover, and warranties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field required.
• 5+ years of construction project management experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, building systems, and project financial management.
• Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and MS Office.
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is required.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage new construction, renovation, and infrastructure upgrades from design through completion.
• Develop and oversee scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve field issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety regs, and company standards.
• Maintain project docs including contracts, RFIs, change orders, and closeouts.
• Oversee commissioning, turnover, and warranty processes.
• Support facilities maintenance initiatives as needed.
