Mercor is seeking experienced scientists and engineers fluent in Mandarin Chinese to train and evaluate AI agents on realistic professional tasks. The role involves creating workspaces, drafting tasks in Mandarin, and defining success criteria for AI performance.

Applicants should have research or industry experience, a mainland China Bachelor's degree, and comfort with quantitative analysis. This is a remote, about 21 hours per week, hourly position with a pilot running Oct 23 to Nov 19.

Qualifications

• Experience as a scientist or engineer in research or industry.
• Native or fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in mainland China.
• Comfortable with quantitative analysis, technical documentation and data-heavy problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Build workspaces with project files, memos and records.
• Write realistic tasks in Mandarin reflecting local practice and terminology.
• Define what good looks like by writing clear grading criteria and checks.
• Review AI work for accuracy, spotting mistakes and correcting them.
