Job summary

Springer Nature is seeking a Managing Editor for the Collections Management and Acquisitions team in a hybrid role based in New York, Jersey City, or Philadelphia. The role oversees multiple live collections, coordinating editors, authors, and publishers to ensure timely delivery and high editorial standards across SN Journals.

You will work with commissioning editors, external editors, and operational partners to provide enhanced oversight, drive open access growth, and maintain quality

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in scholarly or journal publishing and familiarity with editorial workflows and submission systems.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple live collections, prioritise tasks, coordinate across stakeholders, and drive projects to completion.
• Support editors and authors throughout collection lifecycles with clear, timely communication and relationship-building.
• Collaborate with Marketing to align collection promotion with priorities and stakeholder needs.
• Act as primary contact for Guest Editors and teams to ensure smooth collaboration and communication.
