Talent Acquisition Manager

Opportunity: Worklyn IT, a growth-stage provider of IT and cybersecurity solutions, is looking to hire an experienced leader of its Private Equity Advisory Services (“Cyber and IT for PE”) practice. While the majority of our existing private equity customers are headquartered in New York City, we are open to individuals in various markets, as this role may work and report remotely. Willingness to travel is a must. We are looking for a personable, entrepreneurial, customer-centric IT and cybersecurity expert with experience serving lower middle market PE clients, leading consulting teams, and managing customer relationships. The candidate will have a yearly revenue target/quota and will be tasked with meeting or exceeding this target. The candidate should have deep experience advising on IT and cybersecurity issues for board/executive audiences and building and leading cohesive teams to execute against IT and cyber projects for PE firms and their portfolio companies, from IT and cyber M&A due diligence to portfolio IT risk management and support.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of experience advising lower/middle market PE firms on issues related to IT and cybersecurity and/or performing cyber and IT-focused due diligence projects on behalf of PE firms.
2. 5+ years advising clients on how to optimize technology, harden cybersecurity controls, implement IT and cyber best practices, and implement IT and security strategies.
3. 8+ years of general IT and/or cybersecurity consulting, advisory, and/or practitioner experience.
4. Nuanced understanding of the cybersecurity threat landscape and the technology landscape and marketplace.
5. Experience helping customers/clients prepare for and attain cyber insurance.
6. Knowledge of and experience advising on general cybersecurity compliance regimes such as NIST, PCI, HIPAA, and CMMC.
7. Skilled networker and experienced pipeline manager comfortable with hitting revenue targets.
8. Hustle and grit; independence, proactiveness.
9. Possesses relationships with Private Equity Firms – please do not apply if you do not have experience providing advisory services directly to Private Equity customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Manage and grow existing PE customer relationships.
2. Build new PE customer relationships.
3. Serve as outsourced/fractional CIO/CISO for 10+ middle market PE firms – for some smaller firms, you will be or will become their “go-to” for all things cybersecurity and IT related.
4. Generate playbook/template docs that you can put in place for the most common engagement types immediately.
5. Can quickly train service delivery resources (report writers and junior consultants) on efficiently executing these consulting engagements -- from information gathering to drafting to presentation of the deliverable.
6. Develop IT and cybersecurity strategy documents and other deliverables; and present those deliverables to audiences including business executives and boards.
7. Propose, hit, and exceed yearly revenue targets/quotas.
